Mr. Ilan Amit

Mr. Amit has recently retired from the Israeli Security Agency (ISA)
Ilan Amit has dedicated his entire adult life in the line of duty
For the State of Israel. Ranked as a major of an elite paratroopers unit, graduate elite course of “US Special Forces”, he was selected to work for Israel's top security agency, where he went through intensive professional training, covering most aspects of dealing with sensitive national security issues.
 
Following his training, Ilan was stationed in a hostile environment, where he faced complex, sensitive and uncertain situations on a daily basis. It was through this experience that Ilan developed the capacity to manage complex operational tasks which required meticulous planning, accurate coordination efforts and highly demanding implementation skills.
 
During his professional career, Ilan had various diplomatic assignments as security attaché for the Israeli embassy in Lima, Peru (1984) and Bucharest, Romania (1988). 
 
Stationed in Zurich, Switzerland in 1998 as director of security for El Al Israel's national airlines, Ilan enhanced his skills in aviation security to the highest standard which such task demands. Consequently, in 2004 Ilan was assigned to manage El Al station in Newark, New Jersey, as
Director of security, coordinating all security matters with the various local, state and federal authorities, such as the TSA. 
 
Born in 1957, Ilan is a graduate of Bar-Ilan University in multidisciplinary social science. Fluent in Hebrew, Ilan has advance skills in English, Arabic, Portuguese and Spanish.
